A brass and organ prelude leads us into our celebration of the risen Lord with selections from Franz Joseph Haydn’s Mass No. 6 in G major (Nicolai), Ralph Vaughan Williams’ beautiful “Easter” from the Five Mystical Songs with soloist Ian McGuffin.
Hispanic Heritage Sunday

For the first time, we are celebrating the rich traditions that are in the Hispanic church. Hymns will be in Spanish and English. The central musical anthem will be from the Misa Criolla by Ariel Ramirez for two tenors (Jonathan Weyant and Karlos Piñero-Mercado), ukulele, and drums.

In our first celebration of the many Chicago composers who have contributed incredible music to our tradition, we present music by Dr. Rolo Dillworth, a talentedcomposer, arranger, and music educator. He received his post graduate degrees from Northwestern University.
