an exhibition celebrating the art of
Elise Pike
a benefit for St. Matthew's Episcopal Church Evanston
Elise Pike Lerman, from Paris, Ontario, Canada, was a longtime, beloved parishioner of St. Matthew's. She received her B.A. from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
Upon graduation, she completed three years of study at Ontario College of Art in Toronto.
She moved to Chicago to study at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she pursued her passion of capturing the human figure.
It was during her studies there that she met her husband Jack.
Together, they taught and pursued their love and life working and teaching art. Upon retirement, they opened a studio in Evanston, teaching many in our community the artist’s craft.
It was Jack’s wish to have an exhibition celebrating his wife's art, with all proceeds benefiting the mission and ministry of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, their beloved church home.
We invite you to join us. Celebrate Elise. Commemorate her artistic legacy.
