The Episcopal Diocese of Chicago is honored to present
THE LONG SHADOW
Evanston Deanery Screening hosted by St. Matthew's

The Episcopal Diocese of Chicago is honored to present "The Long Shadow" in its ongoing work on "Pathways to Racial Reconciliation" and in recognition and celebration of the Feast of Absalom Jones.

RSVPs by February 8 are encouraged. Please call the church office at 847-869-4850.

"The Long Shadow" is a powerful documentary about the origins and legacy of slavery. Investigative journalist Frances Causey explores her family history of slaveholding from America's founding through its insidious ties to racism in America today.

Following the screening, there will be an engaging conversation to ask questions and discuss strategies for open and non-judgmental conversations to build greater understanding and promote racial healing.

PARKING: Street parking along Lincoln Street and Hartrey Avenue. Enter through the main door on Lincoln Street or Hartrey Avenue; signs will guide you downstairs to our Parish Hall.
