WHAT IS BAPTISM
Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ's Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble.
WHEN ARE BAPTISMS CELEBRATED
Holy Baptism is an act of the community and is appropriately administered within the Eucharist as the chief service on a Sunday or other Feast. The Principal Feasts observed in the Episcopal Church are Easter Day, Ascension Day, The Day of Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, All Saints' Day, Christmas Day and The Epiphany.

Our Altar Guild is ready to provide flowers in celebration of the Baptism. Please contact our Administrative Assistant, Julie Hinz, at julie@stmatthewsevanston.org. If you choose to order them, please arrange for delivery with the Parish Staff. The charge for flowers is $50 and is paid to St. Matthew’s Church. | $50
